What is more satisfying than a warm chocolate breakfast in the cold mornings..( of course, there is coffee too). But chocolate always has its special place, right? After knowing cacao has more anti-oxidants than berries, love for cacao increased to infinite ;)

Recipe : Chocolate Oatmeal
Servings : 2 people
Vegan | Refined Sugar-Free
1/2 cup Rolled Oats
2 tbsp Cacao Powder
1 cup Almond Milk ( or milk of choice )
1/2 Ripe Banana ( or sweetener of choice )
1/4 cup Chia Seeds ( optional )
3/4 cup Water ( or milk, for chia pudding )
Pinch of salt
Fruits & Nuts ( optional )
In a sauce pan, add almond milk, oats and cook on medium heat for 3-4 mins.
When you see the mixture thickening, add mashed banana and cacao powder. Mix well till cacao is spread evenly. Add more milk or water if needed.
Add pinch of salt to enhance the taste of cacao ( completely optional ).
Let cook on low for 2 mins and turn off the flame.
Serve when warm or cold ( we prefer warm! ).
Chia Pudding ( optional )
For chia pudding, add chia seeds and milk ( or water ) in a bowl and mix till combine. Close the bowl with a lid and keep in refrigerator for 1 hr or overnight.
After 1 hr open the lid and check if it has pudding like texture ( mostly will have within 30 mins ). Add more milk if needed and serve with oatmeal.
