Chocolate Oat Balls

December 12, 2018

Be any age group, can anyone not enjoy snacks..? I am completely snack person and love munchies between meals. Normally I prefer fruits as snacks but when such bite size beauties are available.....fruits can stay in fridge for tomorrow.

Store bought can have added sugars and other preservatives, so if we have time, its always better to make something at home. One of those is the below recipe! Can make during meal prep and enjoy whole week!

Do you know, Cacao and Dark Chocolate have more powerful antioxidants than many other foods.

Chocolate Oat Balls

  • Vegan | Nut-Free | Refined Sugar-Free

Prep Time : 15 - 20 mins

Cook Time : None

Total Time : 15 - 20 mins

Yield : 5 - 6 balls

1 cup Rolled Oats

5 - 6 Pitted Dates

1/4 cup Dark Chocolate ( bar or chips )

Pinch of Salt

1 tbsp Plant Milk ( optional )

1 tsp Vanilla Extract ( optional )

  • Add oats, dates, salt to a blender and coarse blend. Add milk if the mixture is too dry. Don't add too much milk, we want the mixture to be moldable.

  • Take 2 tbsp of blended mix and make into bite sized balls.

  • Now melt chocolate and add each ball into the melted chocolate, coat well and using a spoon transfer it to a plate or parchment paper.

  • Chill the coated balls in fridge or outsize for 15 - 20 mins.

  • And your snacks are ready to enjoy!

VARIATION : Add any nuts like peanuts, almonds or any of your choice in the blender along with oats. Add 2 tbsp of Maple Syrup or Agave for extra sweetness.

STORAGE : Store in an air tight container in fridge for 1-2 weeks or in freezer for 1 month.
