Kidney Beans Curry

May 29th, 2020

Even though the title of this recipe is Kidney Beans Curry, the actual name is ' Rajma ', one of Indias best dishes. Like many famous Indian dishes, Rajma also did not originate in came all the way from Mexico. But of course, Indian spices are used to make this taste more like Indian Curry! We will go through two ways to make this curry, one the easy method using simple ingredients and other also easy method but using authentic Indian spice blend. Before jumping to the recipe, let's know more about Kidney Beans!

Uncooked Kidney Beans are Toxic.

Yes, thats true. Not everything raw is healthy. Eating as few as 4-5 uncooked Kidney Beans can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea in less than 4 hours. Some people might have symptoms like bloating, stomach upset after eating not completely cooked kidney beans. The best way to avoid all this is by completely/properly cooking kidney beans. Incase you have no time to cook beans or not sure how to cook properly, get canned kidney beans. And also if you are new to beans try taking very less amounts in the beginning to avoid bloating. Apart from this, cooked kidney beans are very rich in protein and fiber, just make sure you cook kidney beans completely.
