Vanilla Chocolate Cupcakes

Ever tried plant-based cupcakes..? They taste almost similar to normal cupcakes, can't believe? Try these!

Vanilla Chocolate Cupcakes

  • Vegan

Prep Time : 20 mins

Cook Time : 20 mins

Total Time : 40 mins

Yield : 6 - 7 cupcakes


1 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour ( or gluten-free flour )

1 cup Powdered Sugar

1 tsp Baking Powder

1/2 tsp Baking Soda

Pinch of Salt

1 cup Plant Milk

1/4 cup Coconut Oil

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

For frosting,

1 cup vegan Margarine

1 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar

2 tbsp Cacao Powder


  • Prepare the muffin pan and keep aside. In a large bowl, add all dry ingredients are whisk together. 

  • Add wet ingredients one by one and whisk till combined. Add batter to muffin pan evenly and bake at 320 F for 20 - 25 mins or till a tooth pick inserted comes out clean.

  • Let the cupcakes cool completely before adding frosting.

  • To prepare frosting, add margarine in a bowl and beat with electric beater for 3 -4 mins. Add powdered sugar gradually and beat till mixed well. Add cacao powder and beat finally to get chocolate frosting.

  • Keep the frosting in refrigerator for 20 - 30 mins before adding to cupcakes.

  • Serve with a smile!

VARIATION : Add strawberry or beetroot powder instead of cacao powder. 

STORAGE : Store in refrigerator for 3-4 days.
