In a medium sized mixing bowl, add all dry ingredients and mix well. In the same bowl add all wet ingredients and fold to mix. Do not over mix.
Transfer prepared cake batter to parchment lined cake pan ( i used 6-inch cake pan ). Bake at 350 F for 35-40 mins or till tooth pick inserted at center of cake comes out clean.
Let cake cool completely before adding frosting. In meantime prepare frosting.
for Vegan Vanilla Frosting
In a large mixing bowl, add powdered sugar, vegan butter, milk and mix lightly without turning on the hand mixer ( to avoid powder sugar dust all over the kitchen )
Beat with hand mixer at medium heat till you get creamy frosting consistency. Add vanilla extract and beat to combine.
Add frosting to cooled cake and sprinkle chopped walnuts on top!
