Ingredients to make Homemade Iced Mocha Dalgona Coffee
- Cashews
- Dates
- Instant Coffee
- Cacao Powder
- Organic Sugar
- Water
Plant Milk Options
We are using homemade instant cashew milk for this recipe, I tried coffee with other kinds of plant milk like oat, almond, soy, etc but I felt cashew milk is much closer to cow milk when used for coffee. If you don’t want to use cashew milk, feel free to use other plant milk of your choice. And we are also adding some dates to our cashew milk to make it a little sweet for the coffee.
Step-by-step Process to make Iced Mocha Dalgona Coffee
Step 1: Soak cashews and dates in hot water for minimum 1 hour.
Step 2: Add soaked cashews and dates to a high-speed blender along with water and blend for few minutes ( time depends based on the power of your blender, if using a high-speed blender, it will take 3-5 mins if not it might take more than 5 mins )
Step 3: Sieve cashew milk if needed and keep it aside.
Step 4: Add instant coffee, cacao powder, organic sugar, hot water to a medium-sized mixing bowl and whip for 5 mins or till stiff peaks are formed ( this process is faster and easier with an electric hand or stand mixer over manual whisking )
Step 5: Add ice to the serving glass. Fill 3/4 of the glass with prepared cashew milk and top with prepared whipped coffee ( dalgona ). Serve chilled!
