Garlic Baby Bok Choy

This recipe for garlic baby bok choy takes less than 10 mins to make and makes a super yummy unique side dish! You will need less than 10 ingredients and 2-3 simple steps to make this healthy side dish!

What you need to make Garlic Baby Bok Choy?

Most of the ingredients might be already sitting in your pantry…you just need to get fresh baby bok choy from near by grocers!

  • Baby Bok Choy
  • Garlic
  • Soy Sauce
  • Corn Starch
  • Sugar
  • Cooking Oil

How to make Garlic Baby Bok Choy?

  • In a small mixing bowl, add soy sauce, water, corn starch, sugar and give a mix. Keep it aside.
  • Cut baby bok choy into quarters. In a pot, add water, chopped bok choy and boil for 2-3 mins with lid closed. Baby Bok Choy cooks pretty fast!
  • In mean time, keep a small sauce pan on heat, add oil. When oil is hot, add minced garlic and cook till garlic turns light brown in color.
  • When garlic is ready, reduce heat and add prepared soy sauce mix and cook on low heat for minute.
  • When both bok choy and sauce are ready, turn off heat and place cooked bok choy on a plate/bowl and generously drizzle prepared sauce on top.
  • Serve warm!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Baby Bok Choy
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1/2 tsp Corn Starch
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • Cooking Oil

Instructions
 

  • Cut bok choy into quarters and keep aside. In a small mixing bowl, add soy sauce, water, corn starch, sugar and mix it. Keep it aside.
  • In a pot add water and bring to boil. Add chopped bok choy and cook for 2-3 mins with lid closed. Cook till bok choy is fork tender.
  • In mean time, place a small sauce pan on heat and add 2 tbsp of oil. When oil is hot add minced garlic and cook till garlic turns light brown in color. Add prepared soy sauce mix to sauce pan and cook on low heat for minute. Sauce is ready!
  • When both bok choy and sauce is ready, place cooked bok choy on a plate and drizzle sauce generously on top.
  • Serve warm!

Notes

Storage: better served immediately or can store in refrigerator for 2 days!
